Today is the 11th day of Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi met farmers, listened to their problems

Bharat Jodo Yatra: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said on the 11th day of the Bharat Jodo Yatra that without harmony there is no progress, without progress there is no employment and without employment there is no future. Rahul Gandhi said this at the end of the party’s 11th day visit in Vandanam. Addressing the gathering at the end of Sunday’s visit, Rahul targeted the BJP and Prime Minister Modi.

He alleged that BJP is dividing the country on religious and linguistic lines. Rahul said that a few businessmen close to the Prime Minister can monopolize their business but a common man is still unable to get loans. During this, he also targeted the Left government of Kerala.

Kerala government is also on target

Rahul Gandhi in a Facebook post said that Alappuzha has shown me something new – a glimpse of Kuttanad farming, techniques of paddy cultivation. He said that I met the farmers of Kuttanad, these farmers are affected by the insensitive attitude of the state and central government besides environmental change. He hoped that my visit would help him and his problems would come in front of the people.

Addressing the people, he said that in a house where brothers and sisters fight, there cannot be progress and this is what BJP is doing with our country. They are doing this to benefit two or three very rich people. Gandhi said that some businessmen close to the Prime Minister can monopolize any business sector. If they want roads, ports, airports, whatever they want to monopolize, they can.

‘Hate can’t fix problems’

Rahul Gandhi said that the Prime Minister claims that rising prices of essential commodities, unemployment, problems faced by common people can be solved within a second. But, I do not want to lie to my people, he said. These are complex issues and cannot be resolved if our country is divided. Hate will never fix the roads, neither will unemployment go away nor will the prices of essential commodities be reduced.

The Congress leader said that passing through the beautiful land of Kerala, seeing its rich diversity was a learning experience. Gandhi also met families affected by sand-mining who have been protesting for 466 days. He said every day during the 466-day protest there was a situation of uncertainty as to whether their land, life and livelihood would be better in the times to come. I have resolved to walk for all these people. Its goal is to give them a voice and hope. It’s to fight for what they really deserve.
