Nagpur. On Friday, a committee constituted under the chairmanship of Deputy Secretary, Higher Education Department Ajit Baviskar, examined the files throughout the day to investigate from the examination related work in RTM Nagpur University to the complaints of PhD scholars including irregularities. MKCL remained the main focus of investigation on the first day. The files were checked with the officials of the Office of the Co-Director of Higher Education, but displeasure is being expressed for not calling the complainants in this investigation.

After questions were raised on the functioning of MKCL, members in the Legislative Council Abhijit Vanjari and Praveen Datke had demanded an inquiry. After this, the Minister of Higher and Technical Education had reached the university and ordered the removal of MKCL, but despite this order, no action was taken by the university administration. Now the administration has constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Ajit Baviskar, the deputy secretary of the department. The committee met the Vice-Chancellor on Friday. During this meeting with the officials was also held. The files related to the case were also seen in the meeting. The committee will continue its investigation on Saturday as well.

Authority members were the first to complain about MKCL. After this the matter reached the Legislative Council. Due to the poor functioning of MKCL, the result declaration got delayed this time. Because of this, the students had to face trouble. The complainants are former members Vishnu Changde and Ed. Manmohan Bajpeji said that the complainants should have been called to present their case before the committee but the committee did not show seriousness towards it. In this situation, the entire investigation should not remain a mere formality.
