Raju Srivastava was born on 25 December 1963 in Kidwainagar Nayapurwa N Block. His father Ramesh Chandra Srivastava (Balai Kaka) was a government employee as well as a poet. Raju passed high school from Subhash Chandra Inter College in 1979. After this, he did 12th in 82 from Shri Ratna Shukla Inter College located in Juhi.
After the 1984 riots, when Raju went to Mumbai again in January 1985, he stayed in the house of eminent poet Shankar Shambhu. Seeing his talent, Shankar also started taking him with him in programs. Raju used to do whatever small work he got in shooting. In return, he used to get up to Rs 50. For the first time in 1989, he got the role of a truck cleaner in the film Maine Pyar Kiya. After that he worked in many films and serials.
Raju Bhaiya: Kanpur to Mumbai

Expressed love after being successful
In 1982, at a relative’s wedding, Raju met Shikha Srivastava in Fatehpur. In his mind, Raju started liking him, but this was the initial phase of his career and he had nothing of his own. After that he moved to Mumbai. After many years of struggle, when he made a name for himself and made a home in Mumbai, then he proposed marriage to Shikha. He married Shikha in 1993. They have two children Antara and Ayushmann Srivastava.
