‘Qubool Hai’ and ‘Ishqbaaaz’ fame Nishi Singh passed away on Sunday (September 18) after battling a prolonged illness. Nishi was suffering from paralysis for the last four years and was on bed rest. On the night of 17 September, his health deteriorated, after which he was taken to the hospital and then he died at 3 pm.

Nishi was also having problem in eating food.

Nishi’s husband Sanjay Singh recently told in an interview to E-Times, ‘Nishi had a second stroke on February 2020, from which she was recovering. However, in May this year, he again suffered a stroke and due to this his health kept deteriorating. For the past few weeks, he was having trouble eating due to a throat infection. She was taking only liquid diet in food. We celebrated his 50th birthday three days back. She was not able to talk, but seemed very happy.

The daughter had even left her studies to take care of Nishi.

Sanjay further said, ‘He struggled a lot to stay alive. He died around 3 in the afternoon. The biggest problem is that we were together for 32 years. She was not well, even then she was with me. Now apart from my children (21 year old son and 18 year old daughter) I have no one, whom I can call family. My daughter had even left her studies to take care of her mother.

Celebs helped us financially

Sanjay says that many friends from the industry helped him financially. These include the names of Ramesh Taurani, Gul Khan, Surbhi Chandna and CINTAA. Talking about Nishi, she worked in TV serials as well as films. Nishi has been a part of many popular TV shows like ‘Ishqbaaaz’, ‘Qubool Hai’, ‘Tenali Rama’ and ‘Hitler Didi’.
