Had the purchase agreement been entered into at Rs.2.89 and Rs.2.35 per unit. Due to the increase in the price of import coal, the state government increased the rate of revenue under the power purchase agreement with the company. This project would have been Kolsa based. After 2011, the company could not produce the beans at full capacity due to the sudden increase in the price of kolsha imported from Indonesia,’ said Desai.
