Regarding which AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi had taunted. He asked why the Jamia Masjid in Srinagar has been kept closed. Now Owaisi has been answered by the Srinagar Police. In which the police has rejected his claim and said that Jamia Masjid is completely open.
In fact, Asaduddin Owaisi had taunted the central government for the opening of theaters in Jammu and Kashmir. Owaisi had asked Lieutenant Governor Manoj Singha by tweeting that, cinema halls have been opened in Shopian and Pulwama, but why is the Srinagar Jamia Masjid closed every Friday?
Srinagar Police replied
This statement of Owaisi became quite viral and questions were also raised on the Jammu and Kashmir administration regarding this. Shortly after this, a tweet was made by the Srinagar Police. In which the police told that Jamia Masjid is completely open. It was temporarily closed on only three occasions… after Corona, due to law and order and the threat of terrorist attacks. During this, Friday prayers were banned. This decision was taken after Jamia officials refused to take responsibility for the incidents inside. Staying away is not an excuse for ignorance.
Cinema halls were closed for many decades
Let us tell you that for the first time since the year 1990, cinema halls are being opened in Jammu and Kashmir. Due to the prevailing situation in Kashmir then, all the cinema halls were closed. After this, efforts were made, but due to terrorist incidents, the cinema halls could not open. It was seen that the cinema halls remained on the target of terrorists. Due to this, cinema halls were kept completely closed for the last several decades. Now the army’s aggressive operation against the terrorists is going on in Kashmir, so this initiative has been taken by the administration.
