Navi Mumbai: The Morbe Reservoir area of ​​Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, located near Karjat, continues to receive heavy rain at the time of return, due to which this reservoir is now on 15 September 2023. Sufficient water storage has been made to supply water till date. This storage of water has put an end to the water stress of the citizens of Navi Mumbai.

The Morbe reservoir area of ​​Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation received 95.60 mm of rain on Saturday. Due to this heavy rain, the water level of this reservoir with a capacity of 88 meters has now gone up to 86.94 meters. This year, 3184.20 mm of rain has been recorded so far in this reservoir area. which is less than the previous year. Last year till September 17, the area of ​​this reservoir had received 3525.60 mm of rain, due to which the water level of this reservoir was 87.33 meters at that time. Due to less rainfall this year, there is still one meter less water for this reservoir to be full.

450 mld water is supplied every day

Every day 450 MLD of water is supplied to the areas under Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation from Morbe reservoir of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation located in Karjat. Apart from this, water is also provided every day by Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation in Kamothe node under CIDCO. Due to which the citizens living in the said node of CIDCO are getting relief from the water shortage.
