Crime is a very serious issue in our society, and one example of this is the case of the Lakadganj police station area. Recently, a man was beheaded by an accused for rejecting to give money for liquor. The victim, who was identified as Rajendra Sakharam Devikar, was a 53-year-old resident of Kumbarpura, Juni Mangalwari. The perpetrator of this heinous crime was known to be Vijay alias Bhairav Dyre, aged 30, who was also a resident of Juni Mangalwari.
The incident began when Rajendra went to consume liquor at Aglave’s liquor distillery located at Telephone Exchange Chowk on Saturday. While Rajendra was there, Vijay also came and started to demand money for drinks. This is when Rajendra refused to give him any money, prompting Vijay to call himself the grandfather of the campus, attempting to forcefully take money from Rajendra’s pocket. Upon protesting, Vijay broke Rajendra’s head with a glass bottle, causing employees of the shop to run after him. Fortunately, they were able to catch and apprehend him before he got away.
The Lakadganj police were alerted about the incident and rushed to the scene. In the end, a case was registered against Vijay and he was duly arrested. It is important to note that this incidence serves as a reminder for us to be vigilant and to ensure that we are always aware of our surroundings. We must also take steps to stop such crimes from occurring in our communities and urge the authorities to take immediate action whenever any criminal activity is reported.
