ASP Vijay Pal Singh said that on Saturday morning, SHO Bichwan Amit Singh had received information that a suspicious WagonR car was parked near Fardpur bridge. There are drug smugglers in the car. On this information, the SHO along with the team reached the given place and laid siege to the car.

Police caught two smugglers

Seeing the police coming, the three youths got out of the car and started running. The policemen chased them and caught two youths. On interrogation, the youths told their names as Lakhan Singh resident of village Mau police station New Agra and Shivam resident of village Pidhpur Mahendiya police station Kayamganj Farrukhabad.

During the search of the vehicle, the police recovered 37 kg of ganja. The accused told that the name of the escaping partner is Mukesh Chauhan resident of Parshurampur police station Kishni. After registering a case against the accused under the Narcotic Substances Act, the police produced them in the court.

SHO Amit Singh said that when the vehicle was searched, a CNC cylinder was installed in it. But he had no connection. On investigation, it was found that the ganja was being carried hidden in the cylinders. During interrogation, the smugglers told that they had brought ganja from Bihar and were taking it for sale to Delhi.
