Madrasa Survey: Unregistered three more madrasas found in Agra, modern education was being provided with dini training

In Agra, the Minorities Department on Saturday surveyed three more unrecognized and unregistered madrassas in Bodla, Sikandra and Runkta. These madrasas were not recognized. In these, modern education is given along with dini training. So far four madrasas have been surveyed. The reports of madrasas have to be sent to the government by October 10.

On Saturday, under the leadership of District Minority Welfare Officer Prashant Kumar, the team first surveyed the unregistered madrassa operating in Mohammadi Masjid, Bodla. This madrasa was opened in 2013. Haven’t registered since then. There are three teachers, who teach 25 children. Two teachers Deeni Talim and one teacher teaches modern subjects including Mathematics, Science.

Unrecognized Madrasa was also running in Noori Masjid

From here the team reached Sikandra. Where an unregistered and unrecognized madrasa was running since 2008 in Noori Masjid, equivalent to the police station. 18 children study in it. Madrasa is run by Sikandra Education Society. There are two teachers. There are four rooms here. Drinking water and toilet facilities are available. In the evening, the team reached Darul Uloom Asahbe Suffah Madrasa in Runkta. It has operated in three rooms since 2007. A mosque has been built inside the madrasa. 25 children study. There are three teachers.

District Minorities Welfare Officer Prashant Kumar said that the reports of all three have been sent to the District Magistrate. So far, four unregistered madrasas have been found in the district. He said that a survey of about 15 madrasas is to be done in Agra. Only unrecognized and unregistered madrassas are being surveyed.
