Shashi Tharoor meets Sonia Gandhi

Ashok Gehlot can also contest elections
Sources say that if Rahul Gandhi is not ready to return to the post of President, then Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will finally file his nomination for this post. According to sources, Sonia Gandhi had discussed this with him a few weeks ago. However, Gehlot clearly believes that Rahul Gandhi should become the Congress President.
When will the elections be held?
It is noteworthy that the nomination for the Congress President election will run from September 24 to 30. Voting will be held on October 17 and results will be out on October 19. There is every possibility that after 24 years a leader outside the Gandhi family is going to take the reins of the Congress.
