According to the information, 38 surface-to-surface missiles have been signed. Of these, 35 are combat missiles and three (03) are for exercise. On Thursday, the Defense Ministry issued a statement saying that a contract was signed with BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited (BAPL) for the dual role surface-to-surface missile BrahMos.

India becomes self-reliant in defense production

Providing further impetus to self-reliance in defense production, BAPL is on contract with BAPL for acquisition of additional surface-to-surface capable BrahMos missiles under the ‘Buy-Indian’ category at a total estimated cost of Rs 1700 crore, according to the statement. signed. BAPL is an Indo-Russian joint venture

According to the Defense Ministry, this contract will further boost indigenous production of critical weapon systems and ammunition with the active participation of indigenous industry.
