Rajasthan Congress MLA Meeting: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot can file nomination for the post of Congress President. He indicated this in the meeting of the Congress Legislature Party held late on Tuesday night. CM Gehlot said in this meeting that I will try to convince Rahul Gandhi for the last time by meeting him. If Rahul Gandhi does not agree, then I will give trouble to you (MLAs) for the instructions given by the high command.
CM further said that you will have to come to Delhi and fill my form again. In this meeting, all the MLAs told the CM that you have to stay here. So Ashok Gehlot replied that whatever I become, I will not leave Rajasthan. After the principle of ‘one person-one post’ in the Congress, now the question is arising that if CM Ashok Gehlot becomes the president, then who will become the CM of Rajasthan.
Sachin Pilot reaches Kochi
At present, the names of Sachin Pilot and CP Joshi are running for the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. CP Joshi is currently the Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. Due to the pre-decided schedule, former Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Sachin Pilot, has reached Kochi for the India Jodi Yatra. Sachin Pilot will meet Rahul Gandhi in Kochi.
Will meet Sonia Gandhi
At the same time, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is going to meet Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi in Delhi on Wednesday. A few days ago, Sonia Gandhi had asked CM Ashok Gehlot to contest for the post of president. On this, CM Gehlot, refusing to contest the elections, had passed a proposal from the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress to Rahul Gandhi to take over as the president again.

CM Gehlot will now try to persuade Rahul Gandhi, but if Rahul does not agree, then Ashok Gehlot can contest for the post of president. It should also be mentioned here that the chances of Rahul Gandhi contesting the elections are slim. According to Congress sources, Rahul Gandhi is unlikely to contest the elections as he will not return to Delhi midway through the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
This journey is currently in Kerala and after that it will enter Karnataka on 29 September. The last date for nomination for the election of the President is 30 September and it is necessary for the candidate to be present for the nomination. In such a situation, the situation has become almost clear even about Rahul Gandhi not contesting the elections.
