Hostel | Classes start, no admission in hostel; Students upset with the attitude of the university A to Z Counsel

Nagpur, Although classes have started at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Academic Complex on Amravati Marg of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, the admission of students in the hostel has not started yet. In the absence of coordination between the university administration and the hostel superintendent, students coming from outside the district for education in the university are facing a lot of trouble.

There are 38 postgraduate departments in the academic campus of the university. Thousands of students take admission here. Most of the students are from different districts of Vidarbha. The university has 4 hostels in the city. Students take admission with the hope of getting admission in the hostel. It is not possible for the students coming from normal homes to stay in rented rooms outside. Students take admission here because staying in hostel is less expensive.

Although the admission process in the postgraduate departments of the university has been completed but the admission in the hostel is not yet completed. Right now it is not possible to say by when the admission will be completed as only applications are being accepted, hence the students are facing difficulties in completing their academic courses despite taking admission due to non-availability of hostels.

This year the academic departments of the university have been given autonomy, so this year it was necessary to coordinate with the hostel superintendents. However, as soon as the admission process is completed, classes have started in the department from September 1. The first year students are facing problems due to non-availability of admission in the hostel.
