Former MLA Ajay Rai has withdrawn the application filed in the High Court to transfer his brother’s murder case from Varanasi to Allahabad. Mafia Mukhtar Ansari and others are accused in that case. He said that due to the influence of Mukhtar in Varanasi, the trial of the case should be done in Allahabad.
After arguments of both the parties on the application, the court had reserved the verdict. In the meantime, an application was made on behalf of Ajay Rai demanding withdrawal of the application, which was accepted by the court. The transfer application was returned and rejected. Justice Rajveer Singh has given this order on the application of Ajay Rai. Advocate Upendra Upadhyay did not object to the application on behalf of Mukhtar Ansari.
