Dr. Prabhat Agarwal, Senior Physician of SN Medical College, Agra told that 8 to 10 grams of salt can be taken in any form. Whether it is eaten by adding vegetables, lentils or with salad. This quantity can be taken in one go or several times.

He told that a sick person (especially heart and liver patients) should consume only 2-5 grams of salt in 24 hours. Pickles, papads etc. should not be eaten. Salt absorbs water from the body, due to which weight and blood pressure increase. Due to this other diseases also start happening.

Salt should not be added to the flour

Dr. Prabhat told that many people also put salt in the flour. Shouldn’t do that. There is salt in lentils or vegetables, adding salt to the flour also increases the quantity. The processed food in the market is high in salt. Attention should also be paid to the amount of its intake.
