The Consortium of International Agriculture Research Center (GCIAR) will be established in the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Sciences of Gorakhpur University. Due to this, advanced varieties of wheat, maize and paddy seeds will be developed in Purvanchal and along with this the students will get extensive experience in the research field.
Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. In the meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Rajesh Singh, agricultural scientists agreed to establish the research center. In the meeting, discussion was held on the subject related to the establishment of the research center of the Institute of Agriculture, Gorakhpur University. The officers and scientists agreed to establish this center in the Agricultural Institute of the University.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajesh Singh said that progressive varieties of wheat, maize and paddy will be developed in the research centre. This will help in doubling the income of the farmers. After the meeting, scientists were also taken on a tour of Biotechnology Department and Agriculture Institute.

Dr. GP Rao, Dean Faculty of Science Prof. Ajay Singh etc.
