Emmanuel Macron Praised Modi: America and France have praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi fiercely. This praise is being given for a statement given during the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in Samarkand. During the meeting of PM Modi and Putin, Modi had said ‘today’s era is not of war and have talked to you on call many times about this’.
Along with giving advice to Putin on the Ukraine war, PM Modi also gave a message to the world. During this, he spoke in a very positive way about the war between Russia and Ukraine. Regarding this, French President Emmanuel Macron has justified his message by referring to PM Modi during the ongoing 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.
Emmanuel Macron said that India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi was right when he said that the time is not for war. It is not to take revenge against the West or to oppose the West against the East. It is time to face the challenges before us.
‘Today’s era is not of war’
This statement has come in the context of the conversation between PM Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin. During this, PM Modi had said, “Today’s era is not of war and I have spoken to you on the call about this. Today we will get an opportunity to talk about how we can progress on the path of peace. India And the Russians have been with each other for many decades.”
Putin also accepted PM Modi’s words
The Prime Minister said this to Vladimir Putin during a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. During this, while replying to PM Modi, Putin had said that he is aware of India’s position on the Ukraine conflict. He further said that he wants this war to end as soon as possible.
