Volvo XC40 Facelift SUV: Swedish luxury automobile brand Volvo will launch the facelift version of its XC40 SUV in India on September 21. Hybrid powertrain will be seen in this car, whereas its only option is available with the petrol engine in the current model. The production company of its diesel variants has been discontinued only last year. So let’s know what will be special in this new car of the company.
Will get hybrid powertrain
The Volvo XC40 facelift will get a 2.0-litre petrol engine equipped with mild hybrid technology coupled to a 48V electric motor. This engine can produce a maximum power output of 197bhp and a maximum torque of 300 Newton meters. It will be given an 8-speed automatic gearbox along with two options like all-wheel drive (AWD) and front-wheel-drive system.
Features of Volvo XC40 Facelift
Features on this new 5-seater SUV are paddle shifters, 12.3-inch full digital instrument console, cruise control, touchscreen infotainment panel, multifunctional steering wheel, wireless charging support, anti-braking system (ABS), power-adjustable ventilated seats, leather. Several airbags will be seen along with upholstery, EBD, automatic parking function.
How is the look of the XC40 facelift
The look of this new car is similar to its current model. This facelift version will get a frameless grille, air dam, clamshell bonnet with LED headlights. The SUV will get 18-inch newly designed alloy wheels, flared wheel arches, roof rails, indicator-mounted ORVMs along with a host of features. Shark-fin antenna and vertically stacked LED taillights will also be given in its rear.
how much will be the price
The prices of the XC40 facelift will be announced along with the launch on September 21. At present, the ex-showroom price of its current model is Rs 44.5 lakh. The price of the new facelift version is likely to be higher than this.
Facelift version of Volvo XC90 will also be launched
Volvo can launch the facelift version of its XC90 this month. In which 2.0 L petrol engine can be equipped with hybrid technology. This car will compete with BMW X7 and Land Rover Defender in India.
