SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover and Inspector Crime Branch Vinod Agnihotri appeared in the court in the case of death in the custody of Pipraich police station of Gorakhpur. Both the officers filed an affidavit stating that judicial inquiry is going on in the custodial death case of Pramod Kumar alias Sonu. On the request of the police, the district judge has initiated a judicial inquiry into the ACJM. Apart from this, the SP has started a separate departmental inquiry against the SHO of Pipraich police station. Punitive action will be taken if found guilty.

The court wanted to know why other accountable officers were not suspended. Couldn’t find the answer. The court, while waiving the attendance of both the officers, directed them to present the progress report of the judicial inquiry. The court has granted conditional bail to the petitioner. Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav has given this order on the bail application of Vikram Singh. The court had said that in the FIR lodged by the deceased’s brother on August 9, 22, the petitioner and the villagers have been accused of beating up his brother on August 6 on the allegation of theft.

Due to which it has been talked about his death. On the other hand, the petitioner says that there was no injury on the body of the deceased at the time of appearing before the remand magistrate on August 7, 22, so how did the villagers get injured on August 6, 22. How are these contradictions? During the investigation, on August 6, 22, the police arrested Pramod. Presented before the remand magistrate on August 7, took remand from August 7 to August 20.

He was not sent to jail in judicial custody. Kept in police custody. He died on August 8, 22. The post mortem report found 10 injuries on his body. Death has been reported due to these injuries. After the death in police custody, the brother of the deceased has alleged death by beating against the petitioner and the villagers. Due to which the SSP and the investigation officer have been directed to be present to clarify the situation of contradiction.
