The Manipur High Court on Friday declared the election of sitting MP from Outer Manipur Lok Sabha seat Lorho S Phoje void and disqualified him. Along with this, the courtroom has declared the BJP leader Hulim Shokhopao Met alias Benjamin Mate, who got here second in the then Lok Sabha elections from the identical seat, elected from the Outer Manipur seat.

Justice MV Muraleedharan of the Manipur High Court on Friday handed a 150-page order in this regard. In Lok Sabha Elections 2019, sitting NPF MP Lorho S Foje obtained 3,63,527 votes and BJP candidate Benjamin Met obtained 2,89,745 votes.
