Lakhandur (No.). Wolves, who entered the village in search of prey during the night, are being accused of creating terror by hunting goats in different villages of the Chauras area. Meanwhile, during the night of last September 17, in Kirmati of Tehsil, some wolves attacked the goats tied in the tent and the incident of hunting of 6 goats has come to the fore. In this incident, goats worth about 50 thousand rupees of cattle rancher named Pradeep Maroti Lanjewar, resident of Kirmati of Tehsil have died.
According to the information received, in the last two months, various incidents of hunting of goats from wolves have come to the fore in different villages of the four-sided campus of the tehsil. In the last two months, wolves have hunted about 40 goats in villages like Itan, Donad, Gavrala, Opara, Savargaon, Manded, Katagaon and Kirmati etc. Under this poaching, goats worth about 3 lakh rupees have died from different cattle rearers of different villages of Chauras region. However, in all the above incidents, Rupesh Gavit, Forest Range Officer of Lakhandur Forest Department, called Field Assistant J. Of. Under the guidance of Dighore, forest guard G. D. Hathe, S. Yes. Other forest workers including Khandagale have completed the Panchnama action and demanded compensation from the government. Meanwhile, in the last two months, panic is being seen among the livestock owners after incidents of hunting of goats from wolves at regular intervals came to the fore. In this case, the local forest department has taken the initiative and demanded necessary public awareness and arrangements among the citizens, including the cattle owners, to stop the hunting of goats from the attack of wolves.
