Ambernath: The two sons of Panvel’s Goldman Pandhari Nath Phadke, the main accused in the indiscriminate firing case in Ambernath, have also been arrested by the police from Panvel’s rural Halke farm house. The local Shivajinagar police raided the farm house in Panvel and succeeded in nabbing people including Phadke’s two sons. The police have named 32 people in the above case, in which 17 suspected accused have been arrested so far.
There was indiscriminate firing in Ambernath on November 13 over the bullock cart race dispute. In this case, the police arrested a total of 10 accused, including Pandharinath Phadke, president of the Maharashtra State Bullock Cart Association, and registered a case against them under the MCOCA Act, including attempt to murder. In this case, both the sons of accused Gurunath Pandhari Nath Phadke and Mangesh Pandhari Nath Phadke were caught by the police after 10 days. The two were on the run for the last 10 days after the shooting incident, Shivajinagar police had received information that the two were hiding in a farm house in Panvel along with some other accomplices.

Police sub-inspectors Suhas Patil and Tulsiram Sawant of Shivajinagar police station along with their team raided this farm house and tried to catch the children of Pandharinath Phadke. But when they fled, the police chased them into the forest and managed to nab seven people, including Gurunath and Mangesh Phadke. During this chase, sub-inspector Tulsiram Sawant was also injured. Meanwhile, the police have informed that a revolver has also been recovered from the possession of the arrested accused. Now the number of accused arrested in this case has increased to 17. Police said that the search for the remaining accused is on.
