Agra Winter Carnival: Transgenders flaunt their skills, step confidently on the ramp


Transgenders (Mangalamukhi) created a ruckus on Wednesday night by walking on the ramp in the ongoing Agra Winter Carnival at Kothi Meena Bazar ground. Walked the ramp with confidence while dancing to Bollywood numbers enthralled the audience. The program started with Ganesh Vandana. After this transgenders danced on fashion show and Bollywood songs. The pandal resonated with applause on the presentations of transgenders.

Transgenders from Agra, Delhi, Mathura, Faridabad participated in the fashion show. Transgender did not show any hesitation in this program organized by Ekta Sanstha. Step on the ramp with great confidence. UP Transgender Board member Radhika Bai conducted the programme. Fair organizer Manish Aggarwal said that the event was organized to include the Mangalamukhi community cut off from the society in the mainstream and to showcase their talent.

Shivani Chaudhary of Agra said that she is still studying. My dream is to become a model. My parents have accepted me as they don’t have any other children. I am 17 years old and I am doing my studies diligently and I have a lot to do in life.

More than 100 stalls have been set up in the ongoing Agra Winter Carnival at Kothi Meena Bazar Ground. Stalls of delicious dishes are decorated. Swings are also installed, which are tempting the children, while camel ride has also become the center of attraction.
