Tears in the eyes Trembling lips Manju reached in front of the DM with folded hands and said, sir – My father’s dead body is kept at home. There is no one to light the fire… Brother is in jail. Keran Singh (65), a resident of Rithori village on Gwalior Road, died at 4 am on Monday. He was ill. On coming to know, Manju Chahal reached Rithori from her in-laws’ house in Meerut. There was no one to perform the last rites of the father. Then Manju reached the collectorate along with some villagers and relative women. First gave an application for brother’s parole to ADM City. DM Navneet Singh reached in front of Chahal when there was no hearing after waiting for two hours. DM assured, I will get something done. Don’t worry.
