Keran Singh (65), a resident of Rithori village on Gwalior Road, died at 4 am on Monday. He was ill. On coming to know, Manju Chahal reached Rithori from her in-laws’ house in Meerut. There was no one to perform the last rites of the father. Then Manju reached the collectorate along with some villagers and relative women. First gave an application for brother’s parole to ADM City. DM Navneet Singh reached in front of Chahal when there was no hearing after waiting for two hours. DM assured, I will get something done. Don’t worry.

That’s why ADM City standing behind DM said, Sir, his application has been sent to Sadar police station. After this the DM left. Manju narrated her ordeal to Amar Ujala. Said, there were two brothers. Elder brother and sister-in-law died. There is a younger brother Sonu Chahar. Who is in jail for almost eight years in a false case of murder.
Father was ill for a long time. There is no man in the house for the last rites. Manju returned home around two in the afternoon. Parole was not received till 5 pm. The villagers performed the last rites of the grandson. ADM City Anjani Kumar Singh says that parole is available on the report of police and jail. On the other hand, Manju’s husband Rahul Chahal says that he will go to court against not getting parole.
