Thieves stole silver and other jewelery worth Rs 25 lakh from Saraf Anil Kumar Jain’s house in Bank Colony, Nai Ki Mandi, Agra. He along with his family had gone to Gujarat for the betrothal of the daughter. The theft was carried out by breaking five interlocks of a 50-year-old vault weighing four to five thousand kg. On returning home on Monday, Saraf came to know about the theft. Police is looking for footage of CCTV cameras installed in the colony.

Saraf told the police that he was into the business of trading in silver jewelery and materials. His daughter was engaged. The program was in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. On November 24, he went with the daughter and others. Son Anubhav was at home. He also came to Bhavnagar after closing the lock on 26th November. He came back on Monday morning. The lock of the main room door was broken. Apart from this, locks in five rooms inside were also found broken.

Baba had bought the safe

Saraf Anil Kumar told that the thieves broke open the 50 year old safe. This vault was bought by his Baba Hukum Chand Jain. Its weight is about four to five thousand kilograms. There are five interlocks in it. Apart from this, two locks are also installed outside. He used to keep all the goods in this vault only. Father Mahendra Kumar Jain also used the vault. The safe was bought from the point of view of security only. But, apart from breaking the lock outside, the thieves also broke open the interlock. They do not understand how the thieves did this. Thieves took away silver and jewelery worth about Rs 25 lakh.

Fear of incident by doing Reiki

Saraf suspects that his vault was safe. But, the thieves broke the locks. It is suspected that the incident was carried out by doing Reiki. His absence at home would be known in advance. The safe could not be carried away. On the other hand, the police reached the information and checked the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the colony. First it is being ascertained on which day the incident took place. Later the suspects will be marked and identified.
