Nagpur. Even though there have been protests across the country after the government brought the Agniveer scheme, but the enthusiasm among the youth for recruitment in the army is visible. Such a large number of youth have applied to join the army. It is clear from this that most of the youth support this scheme. The ordeal of brave youths started in the departmental sports complex of Mankapur from Saturday. A large number of youths of Gondia district reached Nagpur. Along with the military officers, the district administration has also done good planning so that these youths do not face any kind of problem.
In this recruitment process, which lasted till October 8, applications were invited from 10 districts of Vidarbha except Buldhana. According to the number of applications, every day the youth of different districts have been called for the examination. On the first day 1,700 youths from Gondia district entered the fray. On Friday night at 12 o’clock, the candidates were given admission in the cluster. District Magistrate Vipin Itankar himself took stock of the arrangements along with the military officers. He was fielded from 4 am in the morning. The race was followed by pull ups and long jumps. Around 3,087 candidates have been called on Sunday.
60,000 applications from Nagpur Zone
Public Relations Officer of the Defense Department, Wing Commander Ratnakar Singh told that the recruitment rally has been organized in Nagpur after 2 years. There is tremendous enthusiasm among the youth to become Agniveer. 60,000 youth have applied for the recruitment from Nagpur Zone. There has never been such a large number of applications. On the first day 1,700 children have reported. A large number of youth want to serve in the army. According to the number of each district, youth were called on different dates so that they do not face any problem during the process. All the process is being completed even before the sun rises. After the completion of the ground test, they will be taken for a return test. After that the merit list will be released.

Every day hundreds of youths from different districts are going to reach Nagpur. Due to heavy rain on Friday, many youths and their belongings got wet. They are stopped outside the field before the process starts. For these youths sitting waiting on the pavement, the administration immediately got the roof prepared with bamboo, balli and tadpatri.

Sangam Rahangdale, who lives in Goregaon tehsil, told that he was in NCC for 3 years of college. Even after this, he wants to become Agniveer. Sangam has faith in his own ability. Appreciating the Agniveer scheme, he said that he only wants to serve as Agniveer not for 4 years permanently. He has tremendous confidence that he will make his place in the 25 percent quota of permanent service. Rohit Patel told that this is his first and last attempt. He is also expected to be selected. Bhupendra Bisen told that he has already participated in the recruitment process. Very well planning has been done in this recruitment.
