7.6 magnitude earthquake in Mexico: one killed in wall collapse, tsunami alert on west coast A to Z Counsel

According to seismologists, the epicenter of the quake was 59 km south of Colcomán in Michoacan state, 15 km from the ground near the Pacific coast.

About 300 people were killed in the 2017 earthquake, most of them in the capital Mexico City.

Earthquake since 1985 killed 10,000 people
This earthquake occurred when people were celebrating the anniversary of two major earthquakes in 1985 and 2017. On September 19, 1985, a magnitude 8.1 earthquake struck Mexico City, killing more than 10,000 people and damaging hundreds of buildings. In 2017, an earthquake of 7.1 magnitude occurred on the same day. About 370 people were killed in this.

Tsunami wave warning up to 3 meters
According to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, waves of up to 3 meters can hit Mexico. Early waves have already arrived in coastal cities such as Manzanillo and Acapulco. Tsunami waves of less than 0.3 meters are expected along the Pacific coasts of Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Peru.
